REN is a multi faceted design study made out of stainless high polished steel. When seen from the right perspective the chinese character 人 (REN/people) becomes visible. Bilder im Kopf | Mental Images Special Exhibition

bilder_im_kopf_2009_03

bilder_im_kopf_2009_0121 May - 11 October 2009
Haus der Geschichte Bonn

Mental Images. Icons of Contemporary German History

Certain images have emerged out of the flood of pictures that form our consciousness of the 20th and 21st century, for example, the East German border guard leaping over the barbed wire fence into freedom, or Willy Brandt kneeling in Warsaw. The exhibition asks why these images are so powerful, looks at the history behind them and explores how they have become so well known.

COORDINATION has transfered the conceptual content of the temporary exhibition to a space of roughly 600 m2 in the Bonn House of History and have created a very diversified exhibition landscape. Centrally located is the ” Press Office,” which through the use of a facetted photo montage,  defines the simultaneous and  continuing occurrences of world wide events.
